Michael was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  Michael started playing music professionally at the age of 14 playing jazz and standards in a family band as well as popular rock in high school bands.  Studied music at De Paul University and played with several local bands in the Chicago area until 1979

Moved to Denver in 1979 and continues to play with local and national acts currently.  Some better known acts and bands Michael was a member of or soloist include: Freddie Cannon, Little Anthony and The Imperials , Leslie Gore, The Platters, The Legendary 4-Nikators, Bobby Wells, Chris Daniels and The Kings, Denver Jazz Orchestra, The King Stan Band. Michael plays Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Saxophones and is the latest addition to the Buckner Funken Jazz Group.
